Welcome

Welcome to my blog, SCRIBBLING TO (IN)SANITY! First time here? I'm a romance writer who wants to believe most problems can be solved over coffee, a mixed drink or by anything covered in chocolate. I'm a believer in second chances and that it's always the right time to fall in love. As the saying goes, you're a guest in my house only once...then you're family. So I invite you to join the fun! I love comments but it's okay to lurk too - just know I'm glad you've found me and I hope you visit me again soon!

Purple Bags and Pumpkins

The kids went back to school this week  - which meant a new book bag for my daughter and new bag for me! One of my favorite things about back-to-school shopping has always been picking out a new bag.

I had to carry this one around the Coach Outlet Store for close to 40 minutes before I would commit, it's a little on the small side for me and I'm not usually a fan of the hobo style. It does have the requisite pockets on the inside for the cell phone and a large zippered pocket on the outside, so I can pretend I am somewhat organized.

But...the color is awesome and look how cute my voodoo princess looks hanging off the side!

If I'm being totally honest, I spotted this bag from the doorway and pretty much knew it would be mine, but I didn't want the hubby to think I was being hasty - especially since most bag choices take me hours to make, I had to put on a good show to warrant to 30 minute drive to the outlets and the 15 minutes wait on line outside the store!

Now that the new fall bag is filled and being used, I can turn my attention back to my fledgling pumpkin patch growing by leaps and bounds every day.

See my baby pumpkins!

Looks like I am really going need some good pumpkin recipes - after we carve up at least one for Halloween.

What's your favorite way to cook fresh pumpkin?

  1. Aww...look at your babies!
I've never used fresh pupkin for anything--except making jack-o-laterns. But I always wanted to make a pumpkin pie with fresh pumpkin!

  3. Oooh what about one of those delish pumpkin rolls with the cream cheese? Or a nice pumpkin soup? Scoop out the meat for your soup then use the rest as the bowl.

And love the bag. Could never carry a bag that was that light in color. The lil zombies get everything dirty...even my things.
